The Astronomy 2009 Amphitheater is a casual venue complete with a grassy hill and star-filled skydome visually based on the Astronomy 2009 logo.  During events, the audience just grabs a nice spot on the hill to relax on the grass. We’ve hosted the Adler Planetarium’s Far Out Friday lecture series at this spot and it’s our main event venue.  During non-event times, this dome hosts the IYA2009 video trailers and clickable presentations on astronomy and the goals of the International Year of Astronomy 2009.
